We are excited to launch our 9th Chamber Music on Valentia Festival. With concerts, experience-based events, and workshops, there is something for everyone and we look forward to welcoming you to the island.
We welcome guest artists from Iceland, USA, Italy, UK and Ireland. The programme ranges from masterpieces of the repertoire by Ernest Moeran and Robert Schumann to the world premiere of a unique combination of uilleann pipes and piano trio, ‘They Danced When the Musicians Played’. We present our recent Carolan celebration, extended in a live format and the grand finale concert will be a two piano gala in Knightstown including aptly ‘Puck Fair’ by Joan Trimble and Rachmaninoff‘s majestic Symphonic Dances. Throughout the Festival other highlights and engagement opportunities include a specially commissioned Soundtrail around Valentia, masterclasses, an opportunity to perform with Festival Artists, a singing workshop with Chamber Choir Ireland and the now much loved ‘Musical Map’ on Saturday 20th.
Details on all events and opportunities are to be found above where you can also book your tickets online. Additionally you can book tickets by emailing info@chambermusiconvalentia.com, calling +353 (83) 096 5977, or in person from Walsh’s Grocery Store, Market Street, Knightstown (from 1 August 2022).
We continue to explore and reveal venues all over Valentia and look forward to welcoming you back, in person, in August.
