Our 2022 events
From soundtrail musical experiences to concerts in some of Valentia’s beautiful venues, we are excited to bring our live festival events back to the island.
A VAlentia Soundtrail: COllaboration with the Lighthouse Project
Chamber Music on Valentia 2022 announces a call for Kerry based artists to create a Soundtrail audio experience.
We are busy preparing for an even bigger 2022 Festival as we return to an in-person Festival for 17-21 August 2022.
With guest artists from Iceland, USA, Italy, UK and Ireland the programme ranges from masterpieces of the repertoire by Ernest Moeran and Robert Schumann to the world premiere of a unique combination of uilleann pipes and piano trio, ‘They Danced When the Musicians Played’. We present our recent Carolan celebration, extended in a live format and the grand finale concert will be a two piano gala in Knightstown including aptly ‘Puck Fair’ by Joan Trimble and Rachmaninoff‘s majestic Symphonic Dances. Throughout the Festival other highlights and engagement opportunities include a soundtrail around Valentia, masterclasses, a singing workshop with Chamber Choir Ireland and the now much loved ‘Musical Map’ on Saturday 20th.
We continue to explore venues all over Valentia and look forward to launching the full programme here in the coming weeks and welcoming you back in person in August.
