2017 | A look back

An overview

This is the 4th season Chamber Music on Valentia. Chamber Music on Valentia 2017 features international musicians from groups including Prometeo and Vanbrugh Quartets, Fidelio Trio and the Irish group Lúnasa, programmed by Artistic Director, pianist Mary Dullea. 

The performances are at various locations including Church of St. John The Baptist, Glanleam House, Valentia Lighthouse and more.

What’s on

  • Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin’s presents the Irish premiere of his Carolan Celebration.
  • Fishamble Sinfonia, perform a programme of music composed or performed in Dublin around the year 1750. 
  • The Family Concert at the Lighthouse is inspired by the theme of ‘Water Music’. 
  • The Festival’s honorary patron composer Ernest Moeran is featured in a rare performance of his virtuosic Sonata for Two Violins. 
  • Sebastian Adams is our featured composer. There are numerous other events and performances.
