Opening Concert
Ireland and her Baroque Composers

Venue Church of St. John the Baptist, Knightstown

Fishamble Sinfonia with Darragh Morgan (violin), Keith Pascoe (violin), Francesco Dillon (cello) and joined by Cillian Vallely (uilleann pipes). This programme explores the fascinating orchestral music of composers in Ireland in the 18th-century, plus arrangements of Carolan tunes for uilleann pipes and strings. Fishamble Sinfonia is an orchestra of young players based in Dublin who are passionate about the neglected music of the 18th century. This promises to be a concert full of fireworks and revelations!
